Gran giro dell'Assietta

The route goes counterclockwise starting from Salbertrand, though it can also be done in the opposite direction. Start from Salbertrand on paved road to San Marco, then climb the steep dirt road toward Malafosse Bassa, where it becomes a trail leading to the little church of S’Anna. Now comes a steep stretch of dirt road, followed by a flat section toward Sansicario; a short descent is followed by a gentle climb to the houses, then steep sections leading to the trail named after Gelindo Bordin—which is flat and offers stunning views. Continue uphill on the road to Col Basset.

Follow the Assietta Road to Testa di Mottas, with continuous ups and downs and consistently beautiful views.

Now an endless descent along the Strada dei Cannoni.

First a trail, then beautiful dirt roads, all within the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand.
