Passo Mulattiera e Colle Echelle

I started from Salbertrand but starting from Beulard shortens by about 20 km. From Oulx follow the cross-country trail then at Beulard go up to Puy on asphalt. Follow to Colomion with the long 12% dirt climb to the Mulattiera pass at an altitude of 2412 meters. Along the climb you always have a nice view of the valley.

Now follow the path downhill to Les Acles with stony but nice sections. Progressively it widens to a dirt road to Plampinet.

Beautiful view.

Now go up the col de l'Echelle, first on dirt road then on asphalt. After the pass descend on asphalt then cross the stream on a small bridge and return to Italy. Now series of trails up to Bramafam fort, closed in my case. Descent to the iron bridge and resume the cross-country trail downhill to Oulx Those who do not want to climb follow the signs to Campo Smith, pass Bardonecchia and resume the cross-country trail at the iron bridge.
