Cima Spessa
We start in Ponte Caffaro, from the Brescia side of the Chiese River, but the whole thing takes place in Trentino, in the southernmost/westernmost part of the region. Crossing the bridge over the Chiese River, we immerse ourselves in the fantastic Biotope of Lake Idro, rich in plant and animal biodiversity. We ride along it for about 2 km until we cross the SP69 that goes up to Bondone. We pedal under the rocky rampart that forms the base of the magnificent Castel San Giovanni and up to the medieval village of Bondone and then, without skimping effort again up 6.5 km to the Alpe di Storo.
Now the steep but rideable climb takes a considerable leap forward and ramps up, for the next 300 meters of elevation gain you don't pedal, you trudge up deadly slopes to the marvelous and scenic summit where the corollary is simply ecstatic. You descend and the music varies little, the first 200 meters of elevation gain are not cyclable (I say for no human) then the music changes again but this time for the better and the trail from the Storo Alp down to Nar is simply beautiful, difficulty-free flow where the bike can run playfully.
From Nar among the various possibilities I choose the path 444 of the ladder already ridden several times but a little forgotten. More technical than the first section with some exposed passages and the ladder (rocky steps) is to be ridden with bike at the side but it is a minor thing, it absolutely does not invalidate the great fun that gives the entirety of the trail.
Final considerations.
The trip in my opinion is really beautiful, the passage with bike to the summit if you want you can avoid it (or do it without bike), as on 300 meters you stay in the saddle for about 100 meters and the climb, in addition to the annoying mountain pines, is very steep. In the end out of 1500 meters of elevation gain you bike with fun 1200 meters, that's it.
