Coccaveglie e la vecchia dogana con il monte Stino

This is a simple tour suitable for everyone to discover our land while admiring all its beauty. You will visit unique places with endless views. The descents very simple but still suggestive.

We start from Capovalle, from the hamlet of Zumiè. We will have to on asphalt descend about a km to deviate to the climb with indication Passo Cavallino della Fobbia. We reach first the sanctuary of the Madonna del Rio Secco and then the Cavallino della Fobbia pass. From here get ready we leave the world and head towards Coccaveglie on dirt gippabile. We pass under Mt. Manos and under Mt. Carzen. A coastal trail will take us to the Old Customs House where just over a hundred years ago was the border with Austria. We backtrack to the bar below Ingorello peak and descend north side on dirt mule track reaching San Rocco pass. Now we go up from Zumiè on paved and secondary road to Rifugio Stino then the viewpoint overlooking Lake Idro. We return to the refuge and take the path to the right No. 477 that with some easy switchbacks and a small bumpy but fun section will take us back to Zumiè.
