Tour delle 3 nazioni (Italia Svizzera Austria) per la Val d'Uina

It is a route of rare beauty that passes through unspoiled areas and is one of the most coveted in mtb. It is not technically difficult, but gives great emotions.

The route was opened in 1910 on the right flank of the Uina Gorge, with a length of about 700 m and 1.3 m wide.

It starts from San Valentino alla Muta, climbs from the Zerzertal valley, descends and reaches the Sesvenna hut, continues to the Slingia pass and then crosses the Italy-Switzerland border, and from there descends into the open valley to the Uina Gorge. From here it becomes a path carved into the rock, it is said by smugglers, it is about 700m long and would be very exposed if it were not for the fact that recently the parapets have been restored for its entire length so it is not dangerous, but always to be done carefully, for the length of the route, the bike must be driven by hand as indicated by the signs which also helps to appreciate the place.

After passing the gorge, one descends by an always easy path that then becomes a forest path along the Uina stream to Sur En, from there cycle along the Inn River for 8.5km (from here one can continue by bike and then state road to Austria), we preferred to climb gravely to move and pedal through the woods leaving the bike path, for a 1.5km climb all pedalable, but with average gradient at 20% and peaks up to 30%.

We cross the forest with the Swiss-Austrian border and descend to Nauders, here if we wish we can recharge the battery, return to Italy via Passo Resia and then return along the lake.

The tour is 63km with 2000 meters of positive elevation gain. Done by e-bike. The tour includes sections to be done by accompanying the bike.
