Moggio - Cima di Piazzo - Sentiero Vallone
Fast all mountain tour, very useful as a workout.
Start from Moggio, you can use the cable car or if you prefer you can alternatively climb on asphalt to the Culmine di San Pietro and just before the top take the long and partly boring dirt road that takes you to the Piani di Artavaggio.
Once at the Piani go up to Rif. Nicola, pass it on the left and with a short flat section you will reach the foot of the Piazzo peak.
At this point it is a matter of doing a tiny bit of portage and in a few minutes you will be at the summit.
Enjoy the beautiful 360-degree view, don your protective gear and begin the long and exhilarating descent.
However, you will not take the route used for the ascent but will take the trail that will transition you to the front of the mountain, fantastic trail that is completely bikeable in the saddle.
From here you will descend on the trail that will take you directly to the Piani di Artavaggio.
Once you reach the Piani again, pass in front of ref. Casari and go to take the path that is right in front called "il vallone", sometimes challenging but very satisfying, 80 % cyclable trail .
Tour to do absolutely with a full or at least an all mountain bike.

For those who had the bad idea of coming down from the valley (not to mention that the shoulder at the top of Piazzo ... like hell it is a few minutes) ... well ... I'm not a downhill expert ... but not even a clueless and hats off if someone can do the valley 80%in the saddle (then if you have fun without risking the neck ... is all to see) ... but maybe the percentage should be reversed ... at least for human bikers!
@mame Let's say the Vallone is one of the most toxic descents in the area, if not the most ever, and you really have to love the genre to appreciate it, personally I don't do it much anymore.
If you want to do something more enjoyable always in the area you can try the Vasca descent, you can find my tour among those posted.
