Description
Rather challenging route, especially if done on the #snow. Wanting to simplify it, you can go up to the Col by cable car.
From Bolzano you go up to the Col on the paved road. From here you take the European path E5 to Nova Ponente, which is usually beaten. From the village take the small road through the forest to the Pietralba shrine.
From Pietralba you descend on path 1, which is more or less snow-covered and has a final paved and technical section, to Laives.
From here it's back to Bolzano on bike path.
Nice views of the Dolomites and hardly anyone along the way.
