Mount Mezzocorona

Route not very long but very challenging, both for the very steep ascent and the very technical descent. Very beautiful views.

From St. Michael's you do a section of bike path and then go up the terrible Longhe road, with the first part very steep, the sign says 40% but at 35% you are sure to get there. The bottom though is very good, paved and the grip is good. Perfect to do by ebike. You get to the mountain of Mezzocorona with nice views of the Adige valley. You then go up to malga Kraun (refreshment) in the woods and shortly after begins the trail down to Roverè della Luna. The trail is very technical, especially in the first part, then it is very bumpy and eventually smoother. Steep and challenging trail, only for experts.

In Roverè you descend and cross the Adige, arriving in Salorno where I climbed up to the castle (you can climb only out of tourist season, there is a ban for bikes, in any case the climb is very steep). From Salorno it is back to the start on bike path.
