The direct route from Livata to Campo dell'Osso is very steep, with gradients reaching 16%; the second part has particularly difficult sections where it’s best to get off your bike. However, you can avoid this stretch by turning right and rejoining the paved road just before the open area. It’s best to ride it in the opposite direction. The Cannavacciari trail is very beautiful and fun in both directions! The trail surface is excellent and has few rocks. The Fosso Foio Gorge is long and very picturesque; there are 2–3 sections where you’ll need to get off your bike—they’re short and not very challenging. If you follow the trail’s direction, the route is mostly slightly downhill and requires little effort.
