Traversata tra Abruzzo e Lazio

A traverse that has been repeated for about 20 years (with car recovery) starting in Abruzzo, Civita d'Antino, and ending in Sora in Lazio. It crosses all the ridges that divide the Roveto Valley and Vallelonga. First 12 km on a scenic and challenging cartroad, if done with Mtb, to Rifugio Sant'Elia and then on panoramic ridges on a trail to the beautiful Rifugio Coppo dell' Orso, a few technical uphill stretches and you arrived at Tre Confini. Splendid view of the Wheat Fields and the homologous refuge, first meters of uncomfortable descent due to big boulders, then guided path to the refuge.

After a reintegrative break begins an exciting descent about 13 km, in undergrowth with technical sections, rockgarden, and short climbs, path skirting the beautiful Lacerno valley to Pescosolido. Asphalt section to Sora. If done on weekdays, one could use the train from Sora to Morino to avoid car recovery, but increasing the ride by about 8km and 300 meters in elevation gain.
