Mulino di Val - sentiero 461 (Giangisky e Centocurve)
Parking is provided in Frazione Baima. The first section to Mulino di Val is with a compact stony bottom and gain 200 meters elevation gain in about 2 km. The mill, still in working order and similar to Dutch ones, was built in 1966 by steel entrepreneur Val to commemorate his son Giuseppe who died prematurely; in 2022 it was purchased by the municipality of Forno Canavese. The trail then continues steeply without forest for another 100 meters difference in elevation and another 100 more in the forest where more forks start again; we descend to Madonna della Neve from where on the back start the 2 trails, Giangisky and Centocurve.
We start with Giangisky on the left, the first section is a steep section on loose earth mixed with medium-sized stones. This is followed by a compact section in the woods, foliage is abundant but with few pitfalls, finally a trialistic section in the town of Rocca, before Borgata Trucco. The asphalt ascent becomes longer due to work in the Case Monsignore area, via the wide trail 418 back to Madonna della Neve.
Second descent to the right on Centocurve, the first section is trialistic and very dug out, then nice trail in the woods with discrete foliage that increases as we continue and in some parts it is difficult to follow the trail. Arriving at Borgata Trucco you pass Case Gabaccia and return via the Sepegna nature trail with some uphill sections.
