Giro della Baciocca
For the Baciocca 2025 tour we started from Lake Giacopiane, usually you pay 10 euros per car, if you want to avoid it you can park from the perlezzi hut. After crossing the dam you take a right on a path, when you reach the dirt road you go up to the left. At the end of the first climb you avoid the dirt road downhill by taking the path hidden in the woods on the right, back on the dirt road you start climbing again until you reach the Aiona hut. Here take a left and you will reach the Spingarda pass, descend for a bit on dirt road and then take the path on the right, just cleared. Pay attention to the counter slope traverse and the final hairpin bend that is exposed.
Back on dirt road, take a right and then follow the path on the left that leads to the Penna Casermette. Here on asphalt we go up to Chiodo Pass where we take a right and go up on dirt road and then down on trail to Penna Lake. We climb to Incisa Pass and take the Alta Via to the Aiona refuge. This part is worth pushing with the bike but not the ebike; it is avoidable by following the dirt road to the Spingarda. The views, however, are worth it.

When we arrived at the refuge we stopped to eat, then climbed back up to the Spingarda and this time attacked the summit of Aiona. The path up into the grove is rideable, on the summit of Aiona you have to work hard to find the best line, but the lunar panorama repays the effort.

From the top of the Aiona we descend on the Alta Via to the Lame Pass, the trail has just been fixed, but one must pay attention to some water drains that are not cyclist-friendly and to the tears in the path that cut the legs. When you reach the Lame Pass, you descend to Lake Giacopiane where the route ends.
Water present at the Aiona refuge and at the Penna barracks.
