Capanna Mara

A nice tour that goes through some of the best-known trails in the eastern part of #lagodicomo, different in type, technique and scenery. We start from San Fermo della Battaglia, near the Bennet, after the traffic light there is a free parking lot; from here following the track we enter the Spina Verde park to reach, through a nice path, the gates of Como. Continue in the direction of Civiglio to reach Brunate, all on asphalt except for a small section of smooth dirt road.

On reaching Brunate and then San Maurizio, leave the asphalt to continue the route on a dirt road until reaching the last hut, Boletto. Shortly ahead after a short tear begins the little path that leads to several options, following the track you choose the route that leads to Baita Patrizi and from there you reach after a nice up and down the parking lot/park of the alpe del vice Rè. The ascent to the Mara hut begins from here, there are several fairly steep rips but the terrain, partly concrete alternating with stones and earth, offers good grip, you do it all in the saddle until the goal.

Once you get to the mara hut you take the Sentiero dei Faggi that takes you back towards the Boletto hut, from there you descend from the path taken uphill until you get to the Bondella hut and after about 100 meters you turn left to go to the path that leads to Solzago, it is the path called Bolli, enduro style. From Solzago you retrace the road taken on the way out and following the trail you go back through Spina Verde Park to return to the parking lot. Always follow the trail to avoid getting confused as it is an area full of trails.
