Monte Torcola
A fairly short and accessible ride, ideal for those looking for a nice mountain outing without any major portage or particularly technical descents. The route starts at Piazza Brembana and climbs toward Monte Torcola along a scenic dirt road that is generally easy to ride and has manageable gradients.
Ascent to Monte Torcola
The climb is mostly rideable on both MTBs and e-MTBs.
As you gain elevation, the dirt road allows for a smooth, continuous climb without any significant technical difficulties.
In the upper section, rideable stretches alternate with a few short sections where you may need to push your bike, but nothing particularly long or challenging.
This brings you to the start of the descent toward Valleve.
Monte Torcola – Valleve
From here begins a long and beautiful descent toward Valleve—the same descent that serves as the first leg of the longer Monte Torcola loop.
The trail is mostly S2.
It’s a natural and fun descent, fairly smooth and without a succession of major technical sections.
There may be a few slightly more challenging spots, but overall it remains a trail suitable even for those not looking for S3/S4 or particularly demanding descents.
It’s above all a descent to ride and enjoy, rather than one to analyze section by section.
Return
Once you reach Valleve, the ride is essentially over.
You’ll head back toward Piazza Brembana on paved roads, mostly downhill, quickly completing the loop.
Difficulty: What to Really Expect
It’s one of the easiest routes among those described.
The climb is almost entirely rideable; the sections where you have to push are short, and there’s no real need to carry your bike.
The descent also remains mostly S2, with no long or particularly challenging technical sections.
It can therefore be a good choice for those looking for a relatively short and accessible all-mountain ride, or for those just starting to tackle natural mountain trails without wanting to venture into S3/S4 difficulty levels.
