Lago del Turano
The ride starts on a flat asphalt road, you do 4 km of flat and 6 km of asphalt climb, great for warming up! You then enter inside a beautiful pine forest where you continue to climb, there are some very steep sections where you have to push on to get to the top. From here starts a very nice descent where, however, much of the trail is dug by canals, I also strongly advise against doing the ride in winter as the mud is very clayey and sticks to the tires.
After finishing the first descent you find yourself near the lake, cross a bridge and then continue on a very steep concrete road that leads toward the small village. From here you descend first down some steps and narrow streets and then on a path, continue uphill toward Paganico Sabino and then take a last path that leads toward the road where the cars are.
We opted to take the left path which is more direct, alternatively you can lengthen by taking the one to the left to which, however, you have to add about 200 meters of elevation gain.
