Alpe Giumello da Barzio

Departure from the square of the Comunità Montana in Barzio at Prato Buscante(Sagra delle Sagre) following the Valsassina bike path to the beginning of the industrial area of Taceno (paraglider landing zone) and from here move onto the provincial road, continue to Casargo and from here take the road to Indovero.

Here you take the nice dirt road that, passing through Alpe Intelco and Ortighera, leads to Alpe Giumello passing through some really beautiful woods and views. When you reach Giumello, continue to Alpe Chiaro and then to the giant bench. After a obligatory pause to admire the view we take the trail tracks that descend steep and dull where it will be necessary, if not more than adept at descending, to dismount and carry the bike for a few hundred meters.

Finished the steepest descent be careful to take the trail track that bypasses the Matoch on the right where by nice path through the woods we reach the Tedoldo Alp and then the paved road. From here, passing through Vendrogno, we return to Taceno and then always by the bike path to Barzio.
