Lago Nero, Colletto Verde, Forte Janus, Lago Cigneaux

Very scenic ride in the Moon Mountains and Montgenèvre area, 8-lap loop that crosses at Col Saurel. Depart from Cesana, climb on asphalt and turn right at the Black Lake sign, the dirt road climbs smoothly to the pond

Now steeper up to Col Saurel where you follow to the right, the path to Colletto Verde with a few minutes walk, beautiful view towards Colle Bercia...

...and Montgenèvre. Descend down the ski slope dirt tracks to the chairlift area and start climbing to Fort Janus from the fantastic 360 degree view

Now downhill, then not long climb on dirt road, then downhill to the sign Lake Cignaux. Beautiful trail with slight ups and downs and you arrive at the lake, always very busy.

After an uphill ramp you are back at Col Saurel, continue to Colle Bercia, pass the little path of the Madonnina then endless descent to the start on dirt and white road.
