Ramaceto cresta est
Taking advantage of lowering temperatures and more favorable weather conditions we return to Mount Ramaceto, this time to try the descent of the east ridge. Leaving near Mazzengo, we set off on the Provincial road to continue on the Via d'Acero. Almost completely paved climb but very pleasant never excessively steep.
We pass the locality of Acero, where we found the only water point at the church, near a BnB the dirt road begins. A few hundred more meters on the pedals and then we load the bike on our shoulders to reach the ridge of Ramaceto.
Arriving at Fo de Druin we decide to make a dash for the East summit, just to say we've been there. For a stretch we take our bikes with us, but since the trail is practically not cyclable as well as very exposed in some sections we decide to continue without them. After conquering the summit we return to the bikes to begin the long descent. Very beautiful and scenic it is all cyclable except for a single point where you necessarily have to descend. Some very steep sections with loose rocky bottom but the bottom holds without problems.
Before Monte Cucco we have to push a little and then continue the descent again also here with a rather steep section. The descent now continues more quietly, ending up among hillocks of olive trees. Short pedaled section to reach the partly pushed climb to reach the top of Monte Castello where we face the last "Very wild" downhill section.
