Anello Capemardo

Very scenic loop that is also suitable for children.

The trail starts from the parking lot of Mount San Giacomo, conveniently accessible from the Lavagna highway exit, here you can leave your car.

You start by following the asphalt climb, after a few challenging ramps you take the path on the right that runs alongside the old slate quarries. At the second fork you take a right and come out on the belvedere, where the view on a clear day is wonderful.

Along the trail are several picnic tables where you can stop and rest. The trail now continues along the ridge with alternating ups and downs, you come to a junction with a dirt road and cross it taking the path to the right uphill. After the last climb and a short downhill section you reach the crossroads where you take the path to the left that goes back to the Graveglia Valley side. After the path turns into a dirt road, at the junction with another dirt road you must take the path that starts in between the two dirt roads, which leads back to the path taken earlier, thus returning by the same road to the San Giacomo parking lot.
