Porta Vescovo

Beautiful clockwise tour with spectacular views of Lake Fedaia and Marmolada. I started from Pozza di Fassa but starting from Campitello or Canazei shortens it a lot. The highlight of the tour is the trail between Col dei Rossi and the Padon Pass.

From Canazei you go up on asphalt to the Pordoi hotel then steep dirt road to Col dei Rossi with 360 degree views. Now follow the dirt road to the Viel del Pan refuge, after that it becomes a trail to Porta Vescovo, some short pushing sections. At the Gorza hut follow the trail up, after 5 minutes walk over stony terrain down to the Padon hut, a few short pushing sections.

At the Padon pass descend on dirt road to Lake Fedaia and, on asphalt, go over the wall. Now very long descent to Alba on trail, some short sections on foot down some steps. At Canazei follow the dirt road on the left side of the Avisio stream.
