Scala sacra, Brienno

Stone path that does not leave one indifferent because of the craftsmanship of its construction and that reminds us of images of a community lived among meager crags and cliffs on the lake.

Parking in Brienno then ascent to Schignano on provincial road then asphalt again until just after the village of Morico. From here agroailvo pastoral road (good bottom but slope what can I say .. tongue out) to Sasso Gordona that you leave to turn left at 950 meters altitude for Alpe Carzola locality (Scout House Elena Tettamanzi). Continue to Piani d'Erba at elevation 1110 from where you take to Brienno.

Now descent often on steps almost ... I repeat almost impossible, continuous and exposed .. brushy hairpin bends .. I would say unique descent ...
