Plan de Corones e Somamunt

Very long, tiring and challenging itinerary, but superlative scenically and with very enjoyable descents.

From Brunico you climb on very long forest road to the top of Plan with 360° views. From here bike-only flow descent to the Furcia pass and down on forestry to San Vigilio. Now begins the hardest part of the day, the challenging climb to the Somamunt pass, very steep towards the end, where only the most trained will be able to pedal. on the other hand, at the pass, spectacular views towards the Dolomites of Braies.

You take the beautiful trail first flat and then downhill to Lake Bries, with super panorama. You pass the beautiful Braies lake and descend on trail 1, not to be done possibly in high season because of the large influx of tourists.

You return to Brunico on bike path.
