Monte Muta in val d'Ultimo

Very challenging and long tour, but also very scenic and fun. (If you want to shorten the tour you can start from Lake Zoccolo).

From Merano you arrive in Cermes and climb up to Val d'Ultimo, first on a very steep dirt road and then on a paved road. At Lake Zoccolo you climb up to Schwemmalm-malga Guazza. After a well-deserved refreshment, the hardest part begins, entirely rideable only by e-bike, and you reach the top of Monte Muta with fantastic views.

From here begins a very challenging descent, with some sections that can also be done on foot, but long and very enjoyable to Lake Zoccolo. One more nice trail above the lake and you return to Merano by the same route as on the way out.
