The White Trail percorso medio

Winter itinerary all about #snow to be done by fat bike. If snow conditions permit (old, hard snow) it can also be done with plus tires and E-bike.

Attention. the route is not always rideable, you have to wait about two weeks after the last snowfall for the trail to be well groomed, otherwise there will be a lot of pushing the bike in fresh snow. Ideal period usually from February until mid-March. The trail is always passable in the initial part up to the Merano hut, then only with the right conditions. The section after the Merano hut , up to the little stone cairns is the most spectacular, all above 2000 meters with spectacular views. Beware of the wind that often blows strong and icy on that stretch.

Beware also of the trail which is indicative, often snowmobiles pass not in the same place and the trail may vary slightly. Not to be done in fog because you might get lost, if done in sunshine and with groomed snow the route is nothing short of spectacular.
