Seceda e Vallunga sulla neve

Wonderful itinerary completely on the #snow, starting from Selva, reaching first Seceda peak and then Vallunga, with breathtaking views.

To be done at least 10 days after the last snowfall, so that the trails are groomed by the cat and hikers.

From the parking lot at the beginning of Vallunga, climb up on a hiking trail to the ski slopes. Through a beautiful forest you first reach the Florence hut, closed in winter, and then the Odles hut, open on the Raiser pass.

Up to here the gradients are moderate, with a few nastier climbs, but doable with normal fatbikes. From here on, there are alternating flat stretches and very hard rips, rideable only with ebike and with old, hardened snow.

You cross the ski slope a couple of times, with two more very hard tears, and you reach the 2519 meters of the Seceda peak, with amazing views.

The descent is beautiful on the same route.

Back to the parking lot, it's off to explore the beautiful Vallunga, with dedicated footpath and beautiful views, but almost all in the shade and quite cold.
