Monte Bronzone con discesa fantastica
Fantastic ride to the big bell of Bronzone, spectacular descent among the most complete in the area for flow variety, rock garden, hairpin bends etc. Start from the cemetery of Viadanica, climb on asphalt up to the Alpine oasis with comfortable gradients, then after a very challenging tear on concrete the road becomes more rideable again. Short detour to the Predore cross (excellent view) and then back on track going up the hill and then down from pratoni, passing to the left or still from the previous road we return to the track of the climb. We continue on the track to get to the la rolla area from which a nice uphill trail (about 70 meters of elevation gain) is detached that can be pedaled by Emtb or pushed by mtb, alternatively follow the northwest trail that descends but then climbs nice and bad.
We then continue on slopes that are always manageable to the Gombo Alto refuge (almost always closed). From here to the bell it is about 150 meters of fairly comfortable pushing, as we climb we observe technical S2 passages (one S3+ passage) that we will do again on the descent. When we finally reach the top a huge bell is waiting for us that we can ring and meanwhile enjoy a 360° panorama with a view of Lake Iseo!
We retrace the stara made uphill with the various S2/S3 steps. Then we deviate to the left and towards a beautiful descent in the woods difficulty S2 with some S3 passages. When we get to the cemented road we slope a few meters and at the first fork we turn left towards Ducone Alto. Here, after a short descent, starts a short push section about (5 minutes) with some rocks not very comfortable but still manageable.
The descent resume nice and fast and immediately makes us forget the pushing section. At the junction we stay on the trail and go to reconnect with the ridge descent. From here the enjoyment skyrockets, a beautiful challenging S3 rock garden begins with many rocks sticking out of the ground. We leave the technical behind to switch to a nice fast flow with a few switchbacks (a couple challenging ones). After passing a small wooden bridge and "caution loose ground" sign pay attention to the exposed passage to the right on very wide rock steps with very good grip
