Grande Catino e Ometti di Pietra

Very challenging itinerary, but also very fun and with spectacular views!

In Avelengo you park at the little church of Santa Caterina, with beautiful views of Merano. Climb first to Falzeben and then to Kesselberg hut, with last part on steep but rideable trail, perfect for ebike. From here it's up again on a nice trail and a few minutes of pushing to the top of Monte Catino, with stunning 360° views of the Alps and Dolomites.

You then descend to the Merano hut on nice technical trail and take the very nice European trail to the incredible little stone cairns.

From here you reach the Verano hut and take the fantastic trail 2, with very technical pieces of incredible beauty and fun. halfway along the trail is the wurzeralòm with excellent refreshments.
