Rifugio Tagliaferri e Valle del Gleno (Ebike)
From the Ronco parking lot, climb up the spectacular Valle di Vo, famous for its waterfalls, on trail 413, with three breaks with some pushing sections. These are the three distinct valley floors that in 1300 meters of elevation gain lead to the Tagliaferri hut located at the Venano Pass. There is some short hand-bike passage equipped with chains, the ride is worth even just the ascent of this wild and fascinating Orobie valley (2.30 hours).
From here you return to the fork below the pass and take detour 416 to the Belviso Pass. At a fork I took the Passo dei Lupi pass, but it is in disuse, better the north side if without snow.
From Belviso pass very varied and challenging descent into the Gleno valley on difficult mountain trails (marker 410). Some short walk x me, some short flow sections, and you arrive near Gleno Lake and the remains of the collapsed dam early last century.
From here trail 410 resumes with many fixed stones but not easy, tough to the end, you reach Bueggio and return easily by asphalt road to Ronco. Challenging ride uphill with electrics and ditto for the descent, (although one trialist did the whole Gleno valley uphill to the Belviso pass). Tour bordering on cyclo-mountaineering, but spectacular from start to finish.
