Cima Lemma-Passo Tartano-Lago Moro-Passo Dordona
San Simone-Foppolo area eMTB tour.
Ascent to Cima di Lemma summit: start from Valleve with asphalt climb to San Simone, then dirt road to the ski lift basin. Here follow the signs to Cima di Lemma with a very technical but mostly rideable climb. From the Lemma pass it is best to descend on the Valtellina side, avoiding the ridge line.
Descent to Foppolo: technical section up to the Tartano pass (S3/S4), then descend without difficulty for a long traverse under Mount Arete that takes us to Foppolo (S2+).
Ascent to Montebello peak: climb up between the houses of Foppolo and then take the cemented road to the Dordona pass. Leave the road near a sinister hairpin bend to take the path that leads to Montebello. This begins a technical, fun and completely rideable eMTB climb to the Terrazza Salomon hut. From here it gets even more technical until the last few meters below Lake Moro that are borderline pedalable. Last 120 meters push up to the Montebello summit.
Descent to the Dordona pass: first piece very technical and a bit exposed (S3+), then easier until the path that in mezzacosta with several raises leads to the Dordona pass.
Descent to Foppolo: fun trail that never lets up (S3/S4), alternating boulders and slabs with loose areas and a few very dug passages. Past a small valley with a wooden bridge, the trail becomes less interesting but more relaxing (S2).
Descent to Valleve: beautiful trail immersed in a dense pine forest. Steep and technical (S2+), it leaves room for different interpretations and lines, turning out to be a lot of fun.
