Description
Very challenging but also very rewarding route in the Merano 2000 area. There are many trails, both uphill and downhill, and the views are extraordinary, from the wild European E5 trail to the Dolomites in the background. Ideal to have an ebike, with which you pedal everything, because of the extreme gradient of certain sections, but also doable with regular mtb with some pushing sections. Also beautiful is the transition to the little stone cairns.
Good training and downhill riding technique are needed to close the tour. Starts in Avelengo, at the Carabinieri barracks, ride almost completely without asphalt.
