Cesacastina - Monte Gorzano - Centofonti

The data of this loop may or may not seem like much, but do not take it lightly, both for commitment and especially for what it will give you in terms of views and enjoyment of the descent.

It starts from the village of Cesacastina to reach via convenient cartroad the Rifugio del Cegno, from here the real tour begins, with a half-hill stretch you will cross glades and sandstone slabs where you will dismount from the bike a few times because of the narrow path but already from here the views will distract you from the fatigue. Activated at the Fiumata Valley pass, a climb begins that in 3.5 km and 900 meters of elevation gain will take you to the top of Mount Gorzano with unparalleled 360° views, from here practically only downhill to the end.

Sections of sandstone rock, freeride, single track, sandstone slabs where the river flows beside you, until you enter the woods where technical sections alternate with flowing sections to then reach the starting point through a shady beech forest. One of the most beautiful excursions in recent years, in a few kilometers a condensation of the essence of mountain biking as few other rides can give. Ultra recommended, best with e-bike and stable weather.
