Monte Velino
Loop tour starting from Cartore. It climbs through the beautiful Teve Valley. In this first part you alternate between pedaled and pushed sections due to the steep and bumpy ground. When you reach Cape Teve, the ascent becomes harder and the pushing or bike-on-bike part begins. From this point on, until you reach the summit, you will no longer do half a pedal ride. You ascend on Trail 2 to the Bicchero Pass. From here you turn right and continue on trail 1, which will take you to the summit via Monte Bicchero and Monte Cafornia. The ridge that leads us from Cafornia to the foot of Velino is spectacular. The last stretch before reaching the summit is quite challenging but the splendid panorama fully repays all the efforts made. The first 100 meters of the descent are very challenging because of the uneven ground and the presence of exposed sections. We continue along Trail 3 passing by the Refuge Capanna di Sevice. From here we enter the Vallone di Sevice and the trail becomes very fun with numerous switchbacks and rock passages that accompany us to Cartore. Very rewarding and wild all mountain tour as we like it. Recommended itinerary for the more experienced because of the long section with a backpacking bike and the numerous exposed sections that accompany us both uphill and downhill.
