Valdaione Freeride

A challenging trail in the beautiful Camonica Valley, several gradients around 20 percent, but all rewarded by magical views!

Some technical data: distance: 33km - time on the move: 4.00 hours - total elevation gain: 1650m - maximum elevation: 1680m - cycleability: 98% - suitable for MTB AM/ENDURO.

Leaving the car in Bienno, a beautiful village in the province of Brescia, manco time to warm up the legs immediately begins a gentle climb with regular gradient on asphalt; we ride on the road to the ?Passo Crocedomini?

After a few kilometers you can opt, as in our case, to leave the road to take a dirt road, shorter but with really interesting gradients! In either case, after 1000 meters of elevation gain and 13km in your legs you will arrive at Campolaro.

With a slight up and down on a cemented road you will cross the valley until you reach a fairly important descent where we will lose about 200 meters.

Don't worry that the meters lost, you immediately get them back with a really tough climb, the toughest of the day, a good 20% constant gradient on cemented road for about 2km until you reach the highest point of the tour where the first trail starts; you can opt to catch your breath a little more than halfway up at the Valdaione refuge.

A dirt freeride single track completely in the undergrowth, several times it will be up to you to choose the best route; but nothing impossible!

After about 2km of trail we come to a meadow with huts and a river where you can cool off.

With a small rip in portage we head onto the trail where the second trail of the day begins.

Before starting the descent we have about 2.5km of transfer, after which we launch down the mountain in full freeride style, very varied and fun!

Once the freeride is over we arrive on a dirt road, continue for a few kilometers, until we take the last trail of the day that will take us to our starting point.

A single track different from the previous ones, no more undergrowth, but still on dirt and really fun, with even some technical passages.

Arriving near Bienno, you can dive into the Grigna stream to give yourself a nice cool down before heading home.
