Rifugio Laeng

Start in Borno from the church of San Fiorino where there is also a possibility of finding parking. You start immediately on very steep concrete ramps that crush up to the lake, from there you go up to San Fermo on a dirt road. From the hermitage you can do the traverse up to the Costone pass or you can also avoid it and immediately take the traverse called "Sentiero alto" that leads to the Laeng refuge passing under the Corna di San Fermo and the Cima Moren, 60% cyclable traverse, very exposed, to be avoided for those who suffer from vertigo, there are two stretches to be done in portage of about half an hour in total.

From the saddle just above the Laeng the descent begins, very technical and challenging, beautiful and surrounded by fabulous views, you arrive at the refuge with a smile on your face.

From the Laeng you take the path that enters the woods, an up and down unfortunately not exciting because there are many passages where you have to get out of the saddle due to the many roots, you then exit the woods and face a very fast flow section until the Mignone pass.

From here you take the path through the pine forest to the lake, and after passing behind the lake you take the trail that takes us quickly back to Borno.
