Alta Val Tidone con Monte Alpe

Beautiful and scenic tour in Alta Val Tidone, 45 km and 1300 m elevation gain. Departure from the Molato dam wall, asphalt to Moline, steep dirt road to Zavatterello. Now alternating paved and dirt sections to Crotta where the long dirt road to Monte Alpe begins, regular panoramic climb.

Nice forest trail to Casamatti where you follow Tidone Po trail to Praticchia then climb to Lazzarello. Undulating path to small chapel where you go right down CAI trail to Giorgi house. Go left on the Abbots' path to Trebecco.

Go up the Mt. Bissolo trail and down the marked "La Blu" descent, nice simple and well guided, go over the dam wall and you are at the start. The wall gate is open on Saturday and Sunday, don't know about other days.

Technically average counterclockwise tour. Water at the Hannibal fountain near Pozzallo halfway around, it is in the trail.
