Monte Penice con tanti boschi

Clockwise tour with high point on the summit of Mount Penice, excellent in summer because you are almost always in the woods. Departure from Mezzano Scotti, dirt road to Lagobisione then nice stretch in the pine forest and ascent to Pianelli always on dirt road. Now enter the large forest and exit onto the paved road that you follow for a few km. At the pass, go left for the penicina and, with steep trail, reach the summit of Mount Penice.

Descent on dirt road then asphalt road to the pass where you follow the CAI 101 senitiero that you then leave to get to Casa Matti. Now follow the Tidone Po trail, then climb back up to retake CAI 101, climb, if you wish, to Mt. Pian Perduto and continue on trails until Crocetta pass. Ascent to Mt. Mosso then endless, beautiful descent to the start on beautiful trails.

Water on the penicina and at the Hannibal of Pozzallo fountain, walk past it.
