Description
By train to Malnate, then up and down through the woods of Valmorea. The section that runs alongside the old railroad, now disused, and takes you all the way to the state border through the Lanza canyon is suggestive. perhaps a bit challenging is the climb to the cole of S. Maffeo: fairly steep and very stony. Once up, the views pay off. The descent is also with brambles, and roots mixed with stones. Beware of some very exposed sections with no protection. Overall I would say it is a very pleasant and easy ride.
