Alta via 5 terre

A nice ride of about 30 kilometers and 1000 meters of elevation gain in the Cinque Terre Park.

We start from the central station in La Spezia and, after riding along Viale Nazzario Sauro, we take Via Fabio Filzi, an uphill road that, passing through Biassa, takes us to Telegraph Hill after 8 kilometers. The climb is affordable and with the beautiful views of the Apuan Alps that appear to us at every hairpin bend, it does not weigh too heavily. From the pass we take path AV5T (Alta Via della Cinque Terre), which we will keep practically until we reach Passo del Termine at m. 542 asl (junction of SP38 with SP51). The trail has no particular technical difficulties except for a few short stretches.

From here, by asphalt following the direction of Levanto, we arrive at the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Soviore (a place of Catholic worship located along provincial road 38 in the municipality of Monterosso al Mare). From the square starts the beautiful descent, marked with No. 509, leading to Monterosso. In Monterosso, after a nice lunch at L'Ancora della Tortuga Restaurant, we return by train to La Spezia.
