Zatta Levanto AV5T
Itinerary that follows the first part of the Alta Via delle 5 Terre.
Departure from Bocco Pass, descend briefly on asphalt to Cassego, take the dirt road to the right. Shortly after, climb with the path to the left, then at the next fork to the right; this path was created to avoid the first part of the climb to Zatta, which is not very cyclable. You reconnect with the classic trail and take a right, coming out on Zatta.
You ride all the way along the Zatta ridge until almost back on asphalt, just before you get there take a right on trail. Then right again on dirt road and keep right arriving below Monte Zatta. Before Mt. Chiappozzo you descend to the right on dirt road, then take a left on trail and connect us again by trail to Biscia Pass. Here you take the dirt road past the asphalt on the right, reach the slopes of Porcile and take the singletrack that leads to Bocco di Bargone, where you take the dirt road first right and then immediately left. After a short climb take a left towards the mines of Monte Zenone, at the hunters' stage take a right on trail. Fantastic singletrack in the woods, at the fork take a left and continue downhill. Leave the main trail to descend to the right, finished the trail take on dirt road to the right downhill.
Pay attention to this part, you have to take the dirt road on the right that will take you to the Velva Shrine. Once you get to the shrine, take on asphalt to the left and after a very short time on dirt road to the right, continue on the up and down and you will arrive at the Mola road. At this point there are two alternatives: shoulder for about 200 m of elevation gain (if equipped with a muscle bike, with electric many parts are surmountable) and get to Cima Stronzi, San Nicolao and then do the Rai lunga, or take a right and get on the Bracco road more easily but skipping a very nice descent. The GPX track goes up San Nicolao.
Either way from the Bracco road you take towards the Guaitarola pass on asphalt, pass by the cyclist fountain where you can fill your water bottle. Once you reach the pass you continue downhill on asphalt and then take a path to the left through the pine forest. At the end of the trail turn right and follow the signs for 28/19, Levanto's most famous trail, which is well marked and even better maintained.
At the end of the trail you descend to asphalt and reach the sea in Levanto.
