Corno del Renon sulla neve e sentiero 6

Beautiful winter route to do by fat bike, but also doable in summer, from Bolzano to the Renon horn with fantastic views of the Dolomites and the Alps.

We take altitude by taking advantage of the convenient cable car to Soprabolzano with bike transport. As soon as we leave the village, if it has snowed up to that altitude, we start pedaling on the #snow and go up the beautiful trail 6 all the way to Tann, here we turn right to cut some asphalt and arrive in Pemmern.

Go up a stretch on asphalt and then take the beautiful snowy forest road to the lower horn, then one last steep section and you arrive at the Renon horn hut, with magnificent 360° panorama.

The descent can be done, depending on the time of day and how busy the slopes are, on the ski slope or at the side of the ski lift. From the lower horn we still follow the slope and then, to the right of the ski slope, there is the footpath to Pemmern. We reach Soprabolzano still on trail 6 and then continue on trail 6, the upper part with technical parts but with the lower part on asphalt and very steep. Alternatively, trail 2, beautiful and challenging but forbidden to bikes.
