Cima Puez
Amazing itinerary, right in the heart of the dolomites. Very hard, with many hours of bike backpacking, but absolutely worth it, both for the views and the beautiful trails.
You go up to Selva and then to the top of Dantercepis, if this part seems hard, remember that it is the easiest! From the jimmi hut first portage section up to Cir pass, amidst incredible spires. A downhill section and then push again, briefly, to the next fork, where the whole view of the Puez opens up. Then it's pedaling and a bit of pushing to the junction with Trail 5 to Gardeccia.
You descend on technical trail and from all pushing and shouldering to Piz de Gherdenaccia. Here you pedal to the Puez hut and then climb to the top of Puez, partly pedaling and partly shouldering.
Incredible views from the summit. Almost all descent in the saddle for the more prepared, then connecting trail and last very technical descent to Val Gardena. Best done in October, before that there are too many hikers.
