Val Frascarese

Depart Battilana, from the junction for Masso, follow the whole provincial road passing through Castiglione Chiavarese, then before reaching Missano turn left on asphalt. Follow the main road all the way until you reach Monte Crosa, keep climbing until the road becomes a dirt road, go ahead and on the left there are some houses, take the dirt road that goes through us and then on the right follow the signs for Val Frascarese, a little hidden gem. The trail is pretty, but what is striking is the valley; it doesn't seem possible that such a pristine valley could exist so close to civilization. You pass by an old furnace.

The path then becomes dirt, but after passing a few things on the left you take the path down to San Pietro di Frascati. Beware of the path, it is not very visible and the dirt road tempts you to increase your speed; it is easy to miss the fork. Once in the hamlet continue downhill to Casali and then again on asphalt downhill until you get back to the starting point.
