Ciclabile dell'Ardesia

This trail follows the slate bike path, which connects Lavagna, on the coast, with Gattorna, inland. I am not putting a description of the route because it is very well indicated by signs and distances in kilometers to the towns along the way are also given. The first part, the part that starts from the coast, can be tackled either in the municipality of Lavagna, as in the case of the trail, or in the municipality of Chiavari. In both cases the bicycle path is located on the banks of the Entella River and follows its course. The bike path takes advantage of some side roads and some paths that run along the river; a gravel bike is at least necessary. The route tends to be flat with a few short uphill tears. Once in Gattorna you can turn your bike around and follow the bike path downhill.
