Obereggen e Carezza sulla neve

Beautiful and very scenic route on the #snow, which can still be done in summer as well. You can start from the Costalunga Pass or from Obereggen.

From the Costalunga pass, along a beautiful snowy trail, we reach Lake Carezza. From here a long path, then forest trail, takes us to Obereggen. We climb on the path beside the sledding track, then take the detour to the left and arrive at the Oberholz hut with excellent refreshments. Nice descent to the Laner hut and then we continue on the snow-covered false-flat road to the Pampeago pass and eventually to malga Zischg.

We turn back, climb briefly to the hut on the Absam trail and descend to Obereggen. We make the connection again to Lake Carezza and then climb to the forestry hut, with beautiful views of the Latemar. We follow the path to Costalunga pass, very nice but with some ascents and final descent to the pass, with beautiful views of the Catinaccio.

The trails are all groomed, some by the cat and some by snowshoes, but best to wait a few days since the last snowfall.
