Val Martello sulla neve

Not a very long but rather challenging itinerary, reserved for experienced #snow riding. Best done at least two weeks after the last snowfall, when the snow has settled and is being groomed by snowshoers and ski mountaineers. Ideal time March.

Start at the reservoir dam, there are only two parking lots, possibly park at the end of the lake. You pedal on snowy trail on the opposite side of the lake, then on cross-country trail on meadows (only if groomed). You then climb on asphalt to the junction for Lify hut, which you reach on beautiful snowy forest track. The return can be done on beautiful footpath, almost all of it rideable by ebike, only if already beaten by snowshoers.

You then go up to the Corsi hut (closed) and then up again to the Cevedale valley. The first section is very steep, then it's easy pedaling.

If conditions permit, with hard old snow, you can get, with some pushing, up to an altitude of 2700, just below Cevedale with fantastic views.

Return via the old Paradiso Hotel and then down to the parking lot.
