Dal Prado alla Serra di Corfino

From Corfino we ride up the asphalt in the direction of Orecchiella, abandoning the road at the visitor center in favor of a short stretch of single track to Fonte dei Faggioni where we fill our water bottles.We get back in the saddle and climb the road that leads to the Sella di Campaiana and at the 1450 elevation we take the Airone 3 trail a nice single track that will take us to Casini di Corte from where we will climb the Valli Calde until below the Prado saddle, and then tackle the portage section that leads to the Vetta.

After the ritual photo we get dressed and face the ridge to the foot of Monte Vecchio. From the pass we take Airone 3 which we will follow until below the Serra di Corfino. This section called the Scaloni offers only a few points where we can climb in the saddle, but the environment is really beautiful.

Before arriving at the Fonte del buon vino the music changes and the trail becomes practically all cyclable. We abandon Airone 3 in favor of Cai 64 which, passing through the woods of the Serra di Corfino, comes out on the road at the height of the Campaiana saddle. From here we prefer to reach the houses of the same name by asphalt and then take Cai 58 Airone 1 a beautiful, very physical trail that never lets you down until Corfino.

Despite having been many times on the Prado I consider this the best combination that encompasses everything you could ask from an all? mountain tour.
