Description
We start from S.Jacques at an altitude of 1660 m and climb up to Alpe Ciarcerio and continue towards the Vieux Crest hut, avoiding all upstream forks. We arrive near the Vieux Crest hut, which can be reached from Champoluc by chairlift or by mountain bike on the back. The wide gravel road has an unstable surface, a scree slope that forces us to push the mountain bike aside for an hour from about 2200 to 2650 meters. Descent mainly on wide dirt roads in the area of Lake Contenery and Lake Ciarcerio.
