Stelvio three thousand
Very challenging but also very scenic route, to be done in the absence of snow, from July to early October.
Start from Trafoi and climb by asphalt road to the Stelvio Pass.
From here you climb again, on a very steep dirt road, to Pirovano at 3025 meters.
You descend and climb to the Scorluzzo summit at more than 3100 meters. The climb is very steep, but by ebike you can do some good sections, the rest by walk. With regular bike you do most of it by push and portage. From the summit wonderful views of the surrounding three thousand. You descend to the pass and climb hard to the Garibaldi hut.
From here begins the Goldseeweg, a beautiful trail initially flowing with some somewhat exposed sections. Be careful, the trail is bikeable before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m., or even outside these off-season times.
After a first section of this very scenic trail, we divert to the Bim Bam trail, which with rather technical sections reaches Trafoi. Here we can do a very nice last trail along the creek.
