Val Padeon e passo Posporcora
Challenging route for gradients and technical trails, but fun and super-panoramic.
From Ospitale we climb the long and beautiful Padeon valley, nestled between the spectacular ridges of Mount Cristallo and Pomagagnon. The only problem is the first km at over 20% gradient, but the trusty ebike solves the problem of the cold start!
Arriving at the Son Forca pass, a fantastic view of the Veneto Dolomites opens up.
You descend to Rio Gere on nice trail and then pedal on a very long traverse, first on forestry and then on trail right in front of the majestic Tofane.
You descend to Fiames on a bumpy path that can't be bumpier, here you have to be very careful (if you don't want to descend on the path, at the fork first go down on the forestry and then reconnect to the track) and climb up the opposite side to Lake Ghedina and then on the panoramic and very nice traverse to the Posporcora pass.
From the pass begins one of the most beautiful trails around Cortina, forbidden to bikes, but in October doable because it is not frequented by hikers.
Already the tour is fantastic for the views offered by the Dolomites of Cortina, but in autumn, with the larches in their splendid autumn guise and no one around, it is even better, an absolute spectacle!
