Discesa dal rifugio Plose a S. Andrea
A wonderful route that starts with a gentle climb and leads to a beautiful—though challenging—trail that takes you back to the S. Andrea parking lot.
The first part of the climb is entirely on asphalt up to the Val Croce upper lift station, after which you continue on a dirt road to the Plose mountain hut, located at 2,447 meters above sea level. The climb isn’t particularly difficult, with a gradient of 5–8%.
The descent is very beautiful and physically demanding; some sections are a bit tough, but all are manageable. The first part is entirely on coarse loose gravel; after that, you enter the woods, and the loose gravel gradually gives way to dirt. The difficulty level is S2/3; there are two or three tougher sections, but they’re manageable for experienced riders.
